Since the world of fashion is always looking forward and now with the holidays gone the industry is concentrat- ing on springtime and the runway shows have begun. Last week Rough House Style teamed up to help launch The Women of Bos- ton with a collaboration show at the Emerald Lounge at the Revere Hotel. Rough House Style is a brand with a focus on roughed up denim. Owner and designer Jamie Longo took a new approach to her Spring 2014 Collection with adding superior leather to her look. The Women of Boston is a premier network for business women in Bos- ton and officially took the stage that night with mem- bership information, an- nounced supporters that do- nated to the show and intro- duced invited guests such as Denise Hajjar in attendance. Longo is also a ground-floor member of the group and was happy to take her well- known label to help this up-and-coming powerhouse group get the ladies in the city interested. The show was all I expected it to be with gorgeous models, one of a kind styles and pro- fessional photography by Ancelis Nunez Photography. The Women of Boston and Rough House pulled out all the stops with heavy hitters putting their two cents in on the show. Models carried "The Kitchen Sink Bag" de- signed by Helena Grant, hair courtesy of Blo South End, makeup by 437 and even Longo's brother Frank put together a little something for the gentleman in atten- dance with his own NOBULL hats for men. The swag bags sponsors like: Scene Magazine, Eye Star Lashes, and Dream- look had me going home with a fantastic smile from the lip gloss! Even though this was what they referred to as a "soft" show, I sure had a great time and was im- pressed with the trends and professionalism from Rough House Style and The Women of Boston. They have both struck an interest in myself for spring attire and mem- bership to networking events. Rough House looks forward to their next show this spring and can be contacted at www. roughhouses tyle. com. The Women of Boston are planning on a Masquerade Ball in February and monthly events for the business lady to have fun while still doing Real Estate Matt6o Gallo Appraisals Sales & Rentals 376 NOrth Street Boston, MA 02113 (617) 523-2100 Fax (617) 523-3530 a little networking in their line of work.
