Bonds Found Guilty 30 Days House Arrest San Francisco slugger Barry Bonds was found guilty in a court of law recently for committing perjury concern- ing enhancement drug us- age. He could have gotten time behind bars but the judge was nice and only gave him 30 days of house arrest. He'll still appeal the sentence because it was a guilty finding. The King of Homeruns all time and single season is now an offi- cially tarnished stats leader. I still consider Hank Aaron the real lifetime HR leader and Roger Maris the single season HR leader. Here's hoping that the door to Cooperstown is closed for ever to players like Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and "Rocket Man" Roger Clemens. The harm done will never be undone but at least we can separate the wheat from the shaft, huh?
