I'm sure Neffo has a lot of good ideas in store for East Bos- ton businesses. Good Luck! ... It's old news now, but still news! It was the shot in the arm residents of Massachu- setts needed. The incred- ible, 'against all odds' win of Republican Senator Scott Brown from Wrentham, a virtual unknown who was elected to the ultra liberal Ted Kennedy's seat. The vic- tory by Brown marked the beginning of the end for Mas- sachusetts liberals, and Washington 'old boys club' politics. Brown's grassroots campaign paid off. All the Washington big guns couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Martha Coakley, her ignorance of important issues, her lack of foreign affairs, and the un- wanted massive Obama Healthcare Plan plunged her down the tubesl The votes from Union members who were ordered to vote for her proved worthless. Visits to the Bay State by "Personal- sage sent here is the Obama/Kennedy healthcare bill is unwelcomed. And, citi- zens are tired of the unac- countable continual spend- ing by liberal democrats. Next to go is Governor Deval Patrick, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid along with one term president Barack Obama. The next best thing from the Brown win will be the absence of the Kennedy's whose power exceeded their intellectual abilities. Massa- chusetts will finally be able to breathe again. Joe Kennedy was quoted as say- ing he should have run for Uncle Teddy's seat. Listen up Joe, you're free oil isn't free; we the taxpayers pay for itt And you wouldn't have won. You're politics are pass6, and the decision not to run saved you from embarrassment ... Voters are on a role. High taxes, partying on taxpayer's money, free vacations, cre- ating jobs for friends, and the overall misuse of taxpayer money will cost politicians they've become rude to cus- tomers. So what's the solu- tion???? Urban bank cus- tomers need to begin shop- ping around for banks that respect their businessf ... Next we have Dunkin Donut chains whose once delicious coffee is often bitterl The donuts and muffins are dis- appointing. IHOP (Interna- tional House of Pancakes) is also another sliding busi- ness. I suspect the omelets are precooked and heated in a microwave. The pancakes that once made IHOP fa- mous are not good compared to "morn and pop" breakfast places. It's time to get back to basics. Here in East Bos- ton we have choices. There is Elite Donut in Day Square a family-owned business that serves up great pan- cakes and a hearty break- fast at reasonable pricest Donna's in Orient Heights, 303 Caf6 in Jeffries Point, and Spinelli's in Day Square serves coffee and pastries. Don't settle for less, just the best! ... 7ll next time The Consul General of Italy Invites You Dear Friends, In February we are proud to invite you all to the Italian events happening in the city.
