POST-GAZETTE, FEBRUARY 11,2011 Page 7 EBCC Install The East Boston Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Installation of Officers and Directors on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Spinelli's Function Hall in East Boston. Fulfilling the remaining year of a two-year term as President is Neffo Cappuccio of Cappuccio Construction. The Officers are 1st Vice President, Diane J. Modica, Law Office of Diane J. Modica, 2nd Vice President, Jo- seph Zirpolo, D&Z Auto Repair, 3rd Vice Presi- dent, Pasquale Todisco III, Todisco Towing, Treasurer Kim Altschul of East Boston Sav- ings Bank and Secretary Joanna Cataldo, s 2011 East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. Recently elected Directors: Maureen Ferris, Hilton Logan Airport; Scott Heigel- mann, Heavy Advertising and Sal Amico, Massport took the oath which marked the beginning their terms on the Chamber Board of Directors. The following departing officers honored for their service to the East Boston Cham- ber during their terms in office were Albert Mangini, Anna DiMaria, and Chip Tuttle. The Bay State Chapter of Freedoms Foundation recently honored Channel 4 news anchor and long-time television journalist Jack Williams for his community service work in supporting special needs adoption for local children. His weekly feature called "Wednesday's Child" features a local youth in need of an adoptive home. Over the years, this effort has resulted in hundreds of children being placed in good homes. Annual Norwood Jazz Classic The annual Norwood Jazz Classic, featuring local high school jazz groups, will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Coakley Middle School (1315 Washington Street, Norwood). The award-winning Norwood High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Steven Conant, will be perform- ing. Invited jazz groups from local schools include Boston Latin, King Pl~'lip Regional, Medfield, North Middlesex Re- gional, Reading, Stoughton, Wakefield, and Wellesley. The groups will be judged for their musical skill by professional adjudicators. The performances begin at 3 PM and awards will be presented after all groups have performed.
