POST-GAZETTE, FEBRUARY 12, 2016 PAGE 5 Announces A Frank De Pose uole Venture for Re-election for Republican State Committeewoman Joyce Kelly announces that she is running for re-election for Republican State Commit- teewoman on March ist on the Massachusetts Presidential Primary Ballot. She represents the First Suffolk and Middlesex Senatorial District. The district encompasses East Boston, Re- vere, and Winthrop, plus several wards and precincts in Boston and East Cambridge. She has held the position since 2012. As the Republican State Com- mitteewoman, Joyce has been a member of the Republican State Committee Sub-Committees on outreach, issues, and the .platform. In addition, she was a delegate to the Mass 2014 Republican State Convention. Since her election, she formed and organized the Revere Re- publican City Committee, as well as serving as its secretary. Ms. Kelly was a significant participant in the campaigns of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, former Governor Mitt Romney for President, and in the re- election campaign of U.S. Sena- tor Scott Brown. She continues to be an active volunteer in the campaigns of municipal, state representative and congressio- nal and presidential races for Republican candidates. Joyce worked actively to help repeal the Massachusetts Automatic Gas Tax Increase Initiative, and is working to end Common Core Standards in Massachusetts. The State Committee person is a position on the ballot which many voters are unaware of. However, it is a position that holds a great deal of guid- ance over the direction of the Republican Party. The person you elect for this position must reflect your ideas and principles just as the State and Federal representatives that you vote for should. Kelly asks that you consider her candidacy for this important position. She would like the opportunity to carry on the significant work she has been doing on the Republican State Committee and to con- tinue promoting a Republican agenda of fiscal responsibility and limited government.
