Hamilton met with MLB officials last Wednesday for what was reported as a disciplinary issue. A report said Hamilton had confessed to going on a binge a couple of months back. There are no indications that he had failed any drug tests. Hamilton had recent sur- gery on his right shoulder in early February. The 2010 AL MVP is enter- ing the third year of a five- year, $125 million deal. So far through two seasons with the Angels, he has batted just .250 with 31 homers and 123 RBIs. Disappointing is the word. He has had a history with drug addiction and alcohol' abuse. I am rooting for him to get back on track. He's a good, but troubled guy.
