POST-GAZETTE, MARCH 18, 2011 A Page5 C.A.S.IT., INC. 2011 Contest for Students of Italian Students currently enrolled in Italian classes are invited to participate in this contest offered to celebrate the 150 th Anni- versary of Italy's Unification. Please choose one of the following three (3) contest levels: Level I: Elementary and Middle School: Students are asked to create a class book- let that demonstrates with pictures and text, in English or Italian, their interpretation of "150 years of Italian Excellence." Level 2" High School (choose ONLY one): Students are asked to create a group or class video that demonstrates, with AWARD Giuseppe Garibaldi Giuseppe Mazzini Attilio & Emilio Bandiera Giuseppe Verdi Aurora De Felippis Delfico pictures, music and audio track in Italian (Optional-English) their interpretation of "150 years of Italian Excellence." Students are asked to create a class newspaper (at least 3 articles) in Italian (Optional - English) that they believe would have been published in 1861, after the uni- fication of Italy. Level 3: Individual Project Option for the "FAA/USA" Special Prize: Students are asked to present an individual project of a multimedia exhibition of their "Top 10" individuals or events that lead to the unifi- cation of Italy. I[}A OMITES Notte l"ricolore at Boston Symphony Hall Celebrates the 150 t' Anniversary of the Unification of Italy April 8, 2011 at 8:00PM The Consul General of Italy in Boston, Giuseppe Pastorelli will kick off celebrations for Italy's 150  anniversary of its unification on April 8 with "Notte Tricolore." The Italian Orchestra Sinfonica dell'Europa Unita and Maestro Rossana Tomassi Golkar bring some of the most renowned Italian classical symphonies to Boston. The pro- gram includes the World Premiere of "Norma -- Libera Fan- tasia e Variazioni per Pianoforte e Orchestra" by Oscar Winner Maestro Luis Bacalov who revisited Bellini's Norma and the drama of Casta Diva. Notte Tricolore also features Verdi's "The Force of Destiny", the "Leopard Suite" (II Gattopardo) by Nino Rota and a new orchestra arrangement of Mameli's Hymn of Italy composed by Renato Serio.
