Before I begin my ar- ticle I'd like to wish (~ ALL my readers and pooch friends and their human companions, especially my dear friends that continue to subscribe to the Post-Gazette that al- lows me to keep my job a "Happy Easter." This holiday is one of my fa- vorites. All holidays are special, but this one touches my pooch heart. The beautiful flowers of many colors and the Easter lilies, Easter eggs are a symbol of the new life that returns to nature at Easter time. They are also used as table centerpieces. Of course the Easter hunt for the children is special. It is said that the reason for this tradition started was be- cause of the Easter Bunny dropped the eggs on the way to deliver them and they hid themselves. This is how the Easter Egg Hunt was supposedly invented. All the food that we wait so long to have at this time of year like pastiera and pizza ghena and all the home- 3umde tma/ udi made cookies with the frost- ing to enjoy with our family and friends. The dinner table is set in bright Easter colors yellow and the napkins are a purple color it is lively and happy. For those of us that can share this Easter with love ones is special and for those that know of some- one that is alone or house bound a visit with some goodies is a very special thought. Before I forget I would like to wish Fr. Antonio and Fr. Claude a Happy Easter my two favorite priests that look forward to seeing my pooch face at Sunday Mass. May I send special thoughts to my dear friends Anna Gaeta which I am still keep- ing her seat warm at church until she is fi- nally up and about so she can sit next to me. Ann Luongo I can't wait for the warm weather to see you sit- ting down the water- front park with my friends Joe and Stevie i/ Bamonte. I usually try to attend the 4 o'clock Mass on Saturday evening so I can sit next to her. For our Men and Woman in the Service that are fighting for us each and every day "Think of Them" and their families during this holiday keep them in your prayers that this war will come to an end and they will return home soon. To my SPECIAL "Wabbits" at the Post-Gazette Pam, Frances, Joan, Lisa, Louie and Dora, I wish you a Happy Easter and an enjoyable day with your family and friends. That's all for now.
