The black-tie Gatsby-themed soi- ree raised 880,000 for the non-profit's programs, which prepare urban schoolchildren for educational opportunities leading to college. Live music was provided by the Flipside. A silent auction offered many items, includ- ing a signed Boston Bruins jersey and a year's supply of Samuel Adams beer. Among the supporters enjoying the fun event were Terence and Kristin Connell of Boston's North End. Steppingstone was founded in 1990 and has programs in Boston, Hartford and Phila- delphia.
