POST-GAZETTE, APRIL 20, 2012 Page 9 Bob D. with Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley. In Loving Memory of @ Our Dear Friend ... We Miss You from North End Against Drugs, Board of Directors and the Post-Gazette It's been two years since we were saddened by the news of Bobby's passing on April 19, 2010 while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. Bobby had a way of making everyone feel appreciated. Bob always said "Do the right thing" and "smile." Bobby took pride in his weekly column "Bob D's Beat." He wrote about events and sports in our communities. He cov- ered almost everything, including his vacations and spiri- tual journeys. Bob was a real faithful guy. He attended Mass every week and encouraged people to keep the faith. People also looked forward to seeing their names mentioned in his "Celeb Sightings" because in his mind everyday people he encountered were celebrities. Bob of course got to meet some famous celebs and it is not a surprise, he really got around! ,He got around the City of Boston and never had a car. Nothing ever stopped him. Bobby ended his weekly column with the word "smile." Because when you smile, the world smiles with you. Bobby is greatly missed by the Post-Gazette and the com- munities he loved so much. We at the Post-Gazette would like to say "Thank You" Bobby D. for the memories. SMILE! Playoff time at Fenway Park.
