Nick Grodin JAZZ wEEK EAST BOSTON - A Smashing Hit - Friday, April 23, 2010 kicked-off Jazz Week East, in the streets of East Boston with a tribute to New Orleans Jazz "Kid Jazz Walk," kids put together Mardi Gras type costumes and played instruments while parading through East Boston, led by Todd Brunnel, Mike Carey, Forbes Graham and Gary Fieldman. Other highlights included Sergio Salvatore performing at ZUMIX along with the ZUMIX Jazz Ensemble, which incidentally was broadcast live nationally from the ZUMIX radio station. SPAJazzy sponsored by Italia Unita. A1 Vega Trio, Paul Broadnax, Nick Grondin Jazz Band continued throughout the week. Wrapping up Jazz Week East Boston is The Infrared Band Thursday, April 29th, 7:30pro, Tony Vaughn Band Friday, April 30 th, 8pro; Underwater Airport Saturday, May 1 st, 7:30pm; Todd Brunnel and Circadian Rhythm Kings Sunday, May 2 "d, 2pro and finally Community Jam Session led by Todd Brunnel and Circadian Rhythm Kings on Sunday, May 2 ", 3pro Come celebrate the end of a GREAT jazz festival in Eastie.
