His nickname was "Mad Dog~ for the hard-hitting way he played the game. In 1968, he led the American League in runs with 95, had 50 extra base hits, and never once hit into a double play. Back on May 12, 2007, Bartolo Colon of the Angels then matched a Major League record by winning his 12th straight start against Texas. The only other player to win 12 straight against an opponent was Pedro Martinez against the Mariners.
