NEMPAC Opera Project Presents Die Fledermaus at Faneuil Hall Love affairs, hidden iden- tities and of course, cham- pagne! Don't miss NEMPAC's third annual Opera Project production, Die Fledermaus by Strauss, in English! Once again, they will be perform- ing in historic Faneuil Hall in Downtown Boston, on Fri- day, June 27 th and Saturday June 28% 2014 at 7:30 pm. Both Faneuil Hall perfor- mances will be fully staged and with full orchestra, under the musical direction of Dr. Tiffany Chang and stage direction by Adrienne Boris. The NEMPAC Opera project was founded by Rebecca Rapoport-Cole and Sherri Snow in 2012. They've also been able to provide over 150 lo- cal singers, directors, and musicians, with profes- sional performing experi- ence. In an effort to challenge the boundaries of what a theatre space "has" to be, the NEMPAC Opera Project has sought to use exclu- sively non-traditional spaces. In their first year, they took the provocative work of Bizet's Carmen to St. Paul's Cathedral in down- town Boston, and also pro- vided a community outreach performance at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Last year, they performed Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte in Boston's Faneuil Hall. The production was so success- ful that we have chosen to return again with their 2014 production, Die Fledermaus.
