The East Boston Social Centers tiosted its annual meeting at the Courtyard Marriott, to elect new Board members and give awards to deserving-staff, volunteers and community members. The Social Centers Board of Direc- tors welcomed two new members, Deborah Jackson, President & Chief Operating Officer of East Boston Savings Bank and Max Gruner, Executive Director of East Boston Main Streets. Four awards were presented by Executive Director John Kelly and Development Director Marisa Di Pietro: The Community Spirit Award was presented to Walter Yourawski of East Boston Diamond & Gold Exchange for his continued support of the Social Centers and the community of East Boston. The Social Centers presented the staff recog- nition award, the Alice Casey Award to William Quinn, who has been the Jeffries Point Child Care Center cook for over 20 years. Jeannine Beaudoin was recognized for her dedicated volunteer service at the Social Centers, where she teaches English as a Second Language. ........................ ........
