BHCHP is also honoring Covidien, the healthcare products company, with the Tim Russert Award for its philanthropic leadership and longstanding partnership with the nonprofit. President and CEO Jos E. Almeida will accept the award on his company's behalf. The cer- emony takes place at BHCHP's Medicine That Matters Gala, Monday, May 12 th at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Some 500 guests are expected and so far the event has raised more than 8600,000. Dr. Shtasel also serves as the executive director of the Kraft Center for Community Health, which trains and supports the next generation of com- munity health center clini- cian-leaders. Covidien was a generous supporter of BHCHP's during its successful Capital Cam- paign that helped the orga- nization create a home base for its operations in the South End. The company also donates critical medical supplies to BHCHP, helping it deliver top quality medical care to its patients.
