Page8 POST-GAZETTE, JULY 31,2009 St. Jo "s Society Celebrates 84 Annual Fest St. Joseph Statue exits the chapel with a blessing which marked the beginning of the weekend full of activities. U.S. Alrforce Band of Liberty entertained Friday night. Brigadier General Major Ronald Johnson leads off the procession. Mini drum players gearing up as the next generation of musicians to take over the bands that play throughout the summers feasts. Frank Mirisola, President of St. Joseph's Society presents Pamela Donnaruma with a plaque for her family's contri- bution to the Italian communities of Massachusetts, along with Vice-Presidents, Sal Paterna and Jim Martorano. Pare also presented a photo of her father at the printing press in 1984 producing the St. Joseph's Poster. U.S. Navy Show Band entertained Saturday night. Jews for St. Joseph's supports the St. Joseph's Feast. Richie Egbert who started the group, passed away last year and the group honored his memory by helping to carry the Saint on Sunday. North End resident Josephine Gaeta happily greeted the Statue of St. Joseph as it paraded through the streets. Angelo Picardi and Sharon Z (Center) are surrounded by St. Joseph Society Officers. Sharon Z closed out the weekend entertainment agenda with her fabulous voice. The Ray Cavicchio Trio Ray Geany, President of The Madonna del Soccorso Society welcomes St. Joseph.
