Recently, I heard Donald Trump on the Sean Hannity radio show on Talk 1200 Boston talking about the president's college transcripts and assumed the questions concerning Presi- dent Obama back on the college campus had to do with either his grades, GPA or perhaps affir- mative action. After listening to Trump it now appears the whole demand for the release of the Obama transcripts concerns how he filled in the line on his college applications about birthplace. Did he say Hawaii or did he say Kenya? Of course as soon as anyone questions his birthplace you are either considered a rac- ist or a looney tune ... Trump also mentioned that little 1992 booklet by Obama's publicist that stated that Obama came from Kenya. Of course the White House now says that was just a typo. However, as Trump reminded radio listeners, a typo is when you spell something wrong but not when you change country of origin. Is Trump still on to something? You can bet if questions of birth were being thrown at a sitting conser- vative Republican president, the N.Y. Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. would be all over it.
