Delegates elected the 2013-2015 Supreme Council officers, including a new National President, Anthony J. Baratta from River Grove, Illinois. Delegates from the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts were elected to several positions on the new Council: Joseph Russo, National First Vice President James DiStefano, National Recording Secretary Anthony J. Panaggio Jr., National Historian Florence Ferullo Kane, National Trustee Albert DeNapoli Esq., National Foundation Trustee Philip Privitera Esq., National Foundation Trustee Albert DeNapoli Esq. was also named President Emeritus of the National Commission for Social Justice, the anti- defamation arm of the Order Sons of Italy in America. We would like to congratulate all of the newly elected officers and wish them the best of luck as they lead the Order Sons of Italy over the next two years. Also, according to the group's website, according to Kuhner, they think that 911 was a Bush-Cheney Inside Job and the 911 Commission a cover-up .................... Of course AMPAC forgets conveniently that there were 19 jihadists, fifteen of whom were Saudis who crashed into the World Trade Center back on September 11, 2001. The march is being held to protect the civil rights of all U.S. Muslims that are apparently endangered ::::: blmh. blah. Reid, Race and Rhetoric :;:: Sometimes I wonder about the U.S. Senate in the hands of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. {Continued on Page 13) 's The _Fisherman's Feast has been a tradition in the North End since 1910, which honors La Madonna Del Soccorso (Our Lady of Help). It was founded by the fisher- men who immigrated to America from Sciacca, Sic- ily. Presently the feast is or- ganized by their ancestors. It took place on North and Fleet Streets starting on Thursday August 15th as the statue of the Madonna was moved from the Fisherman's Club to a chapel at the center of the feast. Residents who are looking to register to vote or make a change to their current registration may do so by applying in per- son at City Hall, requesting an application by mail by calling the Boston Election Department at 617-635-3767 or by download- ing a mail-in registration form off of our website. The Boston Election Department (City Hall - Room 241} will be open until 8:00 pm on September 4th to accommodate last minute Voter Registrations. Those looking to fill out a Voter Registration form after 5:00 pm on that date should enter City Hall by the Con- gress Street entrance. All registrations that are mailed to the Election Department must be postmarked by September 4tb in order to be eligible for the upcoming election. All registrations postmarked after the 4th will be unable to be processed until after September Preliminary Municipal Election and will not be eligible until the Municipal Election on November 5, 2013.
