Vinny has a great deal of respect for Bobby, he nominated him for the Ring 4 Award in 2009. Marino has been a driv- ing, and a supporting force of Ring 4, Veteran Boxers Association for many years. In 1995 I had the priv- ilege of being inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame along with him. He is well respected in the Boxing Community and has received many awards from the Organization for his loyalty to our cause. After twenty-five years at the job, he still remains active in the land develop- ing field, and has been a responsible figure in the restoration of Roslindale Square, where he is a well- respected man of the ages. His first endeavor was the 108 unit development, at Dale Village. Since that onset he has never ceased being active in creating new projects for the benefit from Page 16) of others. There are many years under Vinny's belt, but he still respects the confines of the Ring. He stays active with his workouts on the bag, and he manages to swim every morning. At his age he still has power in his punch. Believe me, it's like getting butted with the end of a half ball stick when he lands a body shot. This week Vinny and I, managed to spar a couple of rounds at the Gentleman's Gym in Hyde Park. As usual there was no holding back; I have a mouse on my right eye, and nose, as proof of that. Marino never lost his touch (or should I say pounding) as a quality boxer. We have been the closest of friends for many years, and I always considered him as an older brother image because of his gentlemanly ways. He lives by the rules and is a true Brother in Boxing. .) 600el,00ra c00alon 26 Parmenter Street North End, Boston 617.726.B11 COME CHECK US OUT!
