JV' er 8orgotten, J ore r Fg ed Greatly Missed "h jElnna, F. a, Sandra and Giovanni { september Dr. Edward A. Zullo, 94, of Natick died Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Newton Wellesiey Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen (Blake) Zullo and was former husband of the. late Michaeline (DiGregorio) ZuUo. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Pompilio and Olympia (Annesi) ZuUo. Dr. Zullo owned and operated the Natick Animal Clinic for 45 years where he served innumerable people and their pets until his retirement in 1994. For more than 30 years he provided continuous service as Massachusetts State Police Veterinarian, and was the official veterinarian for the New England Aquarium. He was Natick's Animal Inspector, and was Animal Inspector for the Massachusetts Division of Livestock Disease Control for more than 30 years and was the official veterinarian for the M.B.T.A. Canine Division. Dr. Zullo was Past President of the Massachusetts State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, was on the National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and was a member of: the AVMA Committee on Animal Technician Activities and Training, was on the Board of Trustees of the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, and on Board of Becker Junior College Needs Program. In addition Dr. Zullo has been deeply involved in several military and state organizations, including the MAssachusetts State Guard Active Reserve and Air Force Association, aide de camp to the Governor of Massachusetts, and Colonel in the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts. For 15 years he reenacted the part as Paul Revere in his ride from Boston to Lexington during the annual Patriots Day celebration. In 1994 he received the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association Distinguished Service Award, the Man of the Year Award from the Air Force Association, and Man of the year Award from the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company. Dr. Zullo was a member of the American Legion, the Algonquin Club of Boston, Rotary International and the Natick Elks. He was a graduate of Middlesex University Veterinary School class of 1944 and was a Veteran of the United States Army World War II. A. ZI 12, 2016 He is survived by four children, Loretta Zullo Presutti and her husband David of Natick, Christine MacGregor of Natick, Edward M. Zullo and his wife Carol of West Falmouth, Celeste Zullo Palaza of Wellington, FL; grandchildren, Renee Murphy and her husband John, Jennifer MacGregor, Edward W. Zullo, Marco Palaza, Danielle Palaza, and great-grandchildren, Madison, Avery, and Seamus Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00 am from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick's Church at 11:00 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday, September 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 pro. Interment St. Tarcisius Cemetery Framingham.
