Page 8 POST-GAZETTE, OCTOBER 3, 2014 th @@@ A surprise celebration was held in honor of Frank Zarba's 80th birthday on Sat- urday, September 20th at Anthony's of Malden. Think- hag he was going to work, he walked into a room full of family, friends and musi- cians coming together to celebrate eight decades of a life well lived. Following a musical theme, the tables were decorated with center- pieces of vintage sheet mu- sic and flower branches hold- ing pictures of Frank from the last 80 years. Placemats were 33 1/3 record albums Stan Stoney spoke on behalf of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of which Frank is the bandmaster. Franks childhood friend Walter McLean shared sto- ries of their friendship fol- lowed by a blessing by Fr. Robert Durkee. Then the evening was filled with mu- sic, dance and good times. Frank and Jeanne wish to thank everyone for being part of this very special event.
