POST-GAZETTE, OCTOBER 11,2013 Page 5 Veronica Rabies Cultural Center-LTV Reception in East Boston A Frank De Pasquale Venture www.depasqualeventures.com by Sal Giarratani Veronica Robles is a well-known figure in the East Boston Latino Community. She is the well-known host of Orale! Con Veronica on Telemundo (WNEU-TV). Her show is one of the most watched Spanish TV shows in Boston that informs, educates and enter- tains its regular viewers. Recently, she moved her studio to 175 McClellan Highway in East Boston right next to the Courtyard Marriott on Route 1A. On September 30 th, she welcomed commu- nity, business and political leaders to a pro-opening reception at the new state-of- the-art studios she and her husband Willie Lopez opened. LTV Productions Corp./ Veronica Robles Cultural Center will become the new site of her TV show and a training ground for future generations interested in learning how to go into TV production both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Also, her cultural center will become -- hopefully in her eyes -- a place to teach young people to dance Latino style. Robles already partners with the Boston Public Schools and her new studio and cultural center will expand her work right into the East Boston and surrounding communities. At the pro=opening ceremonies, City Councilor Sal LaMattina presented both Veronica Robles and Willie Lopez with a signed proclamation on the opening of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center. Also present to congratulate and representing the best wishes of Sen. Anthony Petruccelli and Rep. Carlo Basile, both unable to attend was Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez, D-Mission Hill/ Jamaica Plain who has been a longtime supporter of the work Robles does for her community. Sanchez has been a great state represen- tative for his constituents and has also become a voice for Latino citizens across - :.-:. -- r , . , - HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY City Councilor Sal LaMattina (far right) presented both Veronica Robles and Willie Lopez with a signed proclamation on the opening of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center in East Boston.
