This past Sunday Boston Fashion Week came to an end just where it all began in the Langham Hotel with a runway show featuring National Jean Company hosted by COUP Boston. Socially Scene was just this past week in the City of Boston and I attended quite a few different shows! I was so impressed and excited to know what the City of Boston had to offer in honor of the fashion industry. I started off last Monday at Bond in the Langham Hotel where the New England Revolution, Modest Clothing Connection and owner Santi teamed up with charity Friends Fighting Breast Cancer to rock the runway. The styles featured had a fun punk look with a casual everyday appeal. Monday was like a road race for Socially Scene as there were two more shows on list for that night. I rushed over to Columbus Day Happy Columbus Day ,ENNADO 3 l NorthSquare RISTORANTE FINE ITALIAN DINING InterContinental Hotel -- Boston for by far one of the top shows of the week, Denise Hajjar's fall/winter collection donating to Dress for Success. As always she puts on a fantastic night and this time there was a whole room filled with her styles on display and the handbags had me in heaven! On the rush again, I made it to the W Hotel for Candice Wu Couture & House of Cach fashion presented by Uptempo Magazine. Wu has really expanded in the fash- ion industry and the name she has made for herself definitely reflected in her high end styles. Wednesday was at Taj Hotel that featured Luxe Boutiques' new fall collec- tion of fur garments and fine jewelry, with complimentary wine from California's ex- clusive Ridge Vineyards and it was all I expected it to be. Fashion and class go hand in hand and on Thursday afternoon back again at the Langham Hotel was after- noon tea time and cocktail hour hosted by Coup Maga- zine with Gregory Paul Designs. This was by far the most elegant event of the week and the dresses fit the scene. There were pops of bright green paired with a fiat black or white that had everyone in the room want- ing one piece or another. Thursday night was a date I had saved months ago since I started covering the Revere Roof Top shows in August. Christina K. Pierce Fashions was hosting yet again another fashion filled event at Gem in the Revere Hotel. The show started off with the Sefani fall collec- tion that had in season tribal prints with classic formal wear that featured tradi- tional turquoise and orange flare. I enjoyed every show I attended and each im- pressed me in their own way but by far this was the best runway view of the models and attire. The show closed with a Launch by Susan Young that dressed with a Jtappy Columbus ay "Take a look around, check out the colorful cocktails, the sleek furniture, the creative cuisine. So where are we? The Back Bay? Beacon Hill? Not even close. We're at Ecco in East Boston ...
