The Boston Redevelopment Authority's 2013 no-bid contract with the Boston Red Sox grant- ing rights in perpetuity to Yawkey Way was called "flawed" by Inspector General Glenn Cuhna. He also said in his re- port, the deal lacked transpar- ency and didn't best protect tax- payers. The $7.34 million deal was approved by the B.R.A. in Sep- tember 2013, giving the Sox the right to forever close off Yawkey Way for concession sales 120 days per year, plus the air rights for the Green Monster seats built over Lansdowne Street. Most people already knew this deal seemed shady and now the Inspector General's Report only confirms all that. What happens now?.
