Lombardo's Function Fa- cility celebrated their 50'h anniversary with a fund- raising gala held on Friday, November 8th. The event raised over 841,000 through ticket sales. One hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to the Fisher House of Boston, a home away from home where our military families can stay while a loved one is receiving in house treatment at one of their medical centers. Medal of Honor recipient, Captain Thomas Hudner, was in at- tendance, along with 500 guests including other local veterans. The gala, hosted on Vet- eran's Day weekend, was a private event for friends, fam- ily, vendors and clients who have supported Lombardo's for the past five decades. The Lombardo family orga- nized a night full of fun and entertainment with a live red carpet, walking magic acts and music by the band, Double Vision. Guests could take a walk down Lombardo's memory lane with a collec- tion of past photos, adver- tisements and newspaper articles that were on display. A Color Guard Presentation by the U.S. Army kicked off the program. Vincent Lom- bardo, CEO of Lombardo's, presented Michelle Keating, President of Board of Direc- tors, and Jen Deluca, Execu- tive Director to the Fisher House of Boston, a check for 839,000. Since then, more donations have come in bringing the total dona- tion beyond $41,000. Lombardo's is a full service event facility located in Randolph, Massachusetts. In 2011, Lombardo's under- went a six month long reno- vation which included a contemporary design includ- ing new d6cor, furniture and LED lighting systems. Owned and operated by the Lombardo Family, now in their fourth generation, Lombardo's hosts weddings, social events and corporate events at their Randolph facility.
