Dean, who is active in Boston's Italian community, is the newly-elected President of the Jaguar Association of New England. At the Inn, Dean conceived the practice of lining up the Jaguars on the front lawn. The members loved this. They had cocktails and cigars on the lawn before dinner, as they strolled along, admiring each other's Jaguars. Dean became JANE's liaison to the British Consulate, and ran an event at the British Con- sul General's home on Beacon Hill. Dean's relationship with the nationally-acclaimed Larz Anderson Auto Museum made JANE's annual May event at Larz "standing room only." At many of Dean's exciting Jaguar events, he served an Italian buffet, introducing the British car club to Spinelli's and Pace's outstanding catering. The members raved, and also loved the rttm cakes that Dean brought in from Royal Pastry in Cambridge. Do you think this Italian food helped Dean get elected as President? Dean turned down the Presi- dency for the last two years be- cause he felt that his technical automotive knowledge was not good enough. You see, Dean's father was an airplane mechan- ic for Eastern Airlines for 37 years, and was embarrassed by Dean's lack of mechanical abil- ity. Dean's father wouldn't let him near a wrench, and called him "hopeless." Well, Dean has finally accepted the Presidency of the Jaguar Association of New England - an Italian with no mechanical ability leading a British car club. We wish him luck. www.depasc ualeventures, com ANNUAL SANTA WALK ON by Sal Giarratani Mar6 Bricco Seafood, Crudo & Oyster Bar Boutique Italian Cuisine ann ooo Male Place 241 Hanover St. * 617.248,6800 223 Hanover S|. 617,723 MARE Trafforia II Panino Quaffro Boston's Grille. The two busiest seemed to be First Priority Credit Union with Iblenty of free hot chocolate, and East Boston Savings Bank with plenty of free pizza. Most of the folks, including an army of wannabe Santa's, appeared to be not that ready for the cold, if you ask me. I captured a great Kodak moment with one Santa and his extended family that was priceless. Save ]]me, T o.LI ..d ...
