Artistic Director Harry Christophers has named Aisslinn Nosky con- certmaster of the Handel and Haydn Society Nosky hails from Canada and made her Society debut as guest concertmaster for this season's opening concert in October, Mozart: A Musical Journey, where she had the opportunity to closely work with Christophers and the Period Instrument Orches- tra. "Aisslinn showed great style and leadership as guest concertmaster," said Christophers. "She has the right combination of energy, experience and talent to fill this important position and assist in leading the Society toward its Bicentennial in 2015." Nosky will be featured two more times in the current season as guest concert- master. In the spring she will perform a program fea- turing Beethoven's Fifth with guest conductor Richard Egarr on March 18 and 20, 2011. She will appear again with Harry Christophers for Mozart's Requiem, April 29 and May 1, 2011. This con- cert will be recorded live for commercial release in Sep- tember 2011, serving as part two of Handel and Haydn's Mozart Trilogy project on Christophers' recording label CORO.
